Grouplove

A band that has more of a friendship vibe to it is "Grouplove". Their first hit single "Tongue Tied", was more of a party song. They are a US band and have been making music since 2009. I first heard them getting ready for school one morning, while i was listening to vh1. Since they are all friends, i don't see them getting in giant arguments causing the band to split. So I don't believe they are going anywhere. They'll just continue to make more party music until they become to old to sing.

Walk the Moon

A more mellow band is "Walk the Moon". With songs like "Tightrope" and "Lions", is the reason why i love this band. My most favorite song has to be "Anna Sun", because the music video is very fun. It features coordinated dance routines, and a magical door. Which is perfect for an indie music video. They originated in Ohio and have been making music since 2006. They are worth listening to, because they are true to their music.

Kimbra

My most favorite indie pop singer, has to be Kimbra. Many of you might know her from her collaboration with Gotye. They made the hit single "Somebody that I used to know", and to this day it is still stuck in my head. She originated in New Zealand, and has been in the spot light since 2000.

Besides her collaboration with Gotye, my favorite song from her is "Settle Down". The music video scared me at first, but it is very easy to understand. Her song "Warrior", is an amazing song, and will make you feel stronger with just a listen.

Twenty One Pilots

One new upcoming band is "Twenty One Pilots". They made it big with their song "Holding on to you", which features many strange and unique characters. The band consists of the lead singer Tyler Joseph and his close friend Josh Dun. The duo originated from Columbus, Ohio and have been making music since 2009.
There new album "Vessel" features many songs like " House of gold" and "Forest". Including their more popular song "Holding on to you". The band focuses on indie rock, with a little twist to it. They do rap, which is strange in indie, but they make it work.
